I’d like to add a business that I don’t work at, but am known at. I suppose you can say I am affiliated with this business, I could actually be working there sometime within the next few months. I know the manager and all, I was just wondering if anyone would think it would be appropriate to list it and my high school as networks. Do you think it is a good idea or not?

Bad idea. If you do not actually work there yet, you should NOT list it yet. Just list your most recent schools and city, and wait on it. Don’t bother asking the manager, because it does not yet make any sense to be on the network with a bunch of people who work there when you do not yet work there.

I would say narrow it down to a category what you like to do or what you use. I started my Mary Kay business simply for the discount had no idea it would replace my full time job. So if you like to cook look at food business such as pampered chef, tastefully simple, etc and compare marketing plans. It is okay to do research online however be careful you can easily get scared away by negativity out there so get your facts from someone in the business and then decide based on what is right for you

I have the assest, cash, credit things figured out, as well as the time that will be inputted into the project. But how do I configure my financial projections before actually starting the site?

The same as you would write any other business plan. First write out your assets – cash, credit lines and potential lenders etc.

Then write out your sweat equity list. How many hours are you and your team willing to put in per week on the project.

Then write your plan around those. Talking about your other things before those makes no sense at all. But that is why the failure rate in this area is so high.
